How to choose the feeder for the stone crusher machine?
At present, our company produces three kinds of feeders supporting the stone crusher: eccentric shaft feeders, linear feeders and vibrating feeders. If there are chain plate feeders in use in the society now, there are customers who need us to process and produce, but at present, the vast majority of customers' choices are the three feeders mentioned above. Here is a brief introduction to the characteristics of each product.
Eccentric Shaft Feeder:
Simple design and lower cost.
Historically used with crushers that had lower production rates.
Not suitable for large-scale crushing production lines as it can lead to issues like bearing damage and inability to match the feeding speed of the main machine when dealing with high material loads.
Linear Feeder :
Horizontally installed with adjustments made based on the angle between two gears to control the vibration amplitude.
Features high conveying capacity and smooth material feeding.
Comes in both light and heavy-duty variants. Light linear feeders are suitable for crushers with lower production rates, while heavy-duty linear feeders often include soil screening functions and are ideal for jaw crushers or high-production hammer crusher lines.
Often preferred for most production setups, but it may not be suitable for very high production demands.
Vibrating Feeder :
Operates by using two vibrating motors to provide the feeding power.
Compatible with a wide range of crushers, offering flexibility for various production scales.
Easy to maintain, with the primary wear components being the vibrating motors.
Often requested by customers and complements linear feeders, providing a diverse set of options for clients.
In general, the company tends to provide linear feeders as the most common option for customers. Vibrating feeders are also frequently chosen. Eccentric shaft feeders are becoming less common due to their limitations, especially for high-production lines. Occasionally, chain plate feeders are required, especially for very high production demands.
For the larger and more substantial PZ1926 hammer crusher with a production rate exceeding 1500 tons per hour, using a chain plate feeder is considered a safer choice due to the immense production requirements associated with it. Production capacity is a critical factor in determining the appropriate feeder type.
Feeder selection may appear simple, but it is a crucial decision that depends on various factors, and choosing the right one is of paramount importance to ensure an efficient and reliable production process.
